SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has recalled D Clay Wilson from the Rochester Americans (AHL).
Wilson, 27, earns his first recall of the season to the Florida Panthers. The Sturgeon Lake, MN, native appeared in two games for the Panthers during the 2009-10 campaign. For his career in the National Hockey League, he has played in 16 games for Columbus (2007-08), Atlanta (2008-09) and Florida (2009-10) scoring one goal with two assists and two PIM.
Wilson has played in 44 games with Rochester this year registering 28 points (8-20-28) and 18 PIM. He was also selected to represent the Western Conference at the American Hockey League All-Star game on Jan. 31.
The Panthers (21-20-4) complete a six-game home stand tonight when they take on their intrastate rivals the Tampa Bay Lightning. The game can he seen live on FS Florida and heard on 560 WQAM at 7:30 p.m.
