SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive VP & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has agreed to terms with C Shawn Matthias on a two-year contract.
“Shawn is a hardworking player who played well for our club last season,” said Tallon. “He took steps in his development last year, scoring a career high in goals. We look forward to him improving and playing an important role on our club.”
Matthias, 25, scored a career high 14 goals in 48 games played with Florida last season and placed fifth on the club with 21 points (14-7-21).
