Panthers Prospect Kenndal McArdle Named to Canada World Junior Team

SUNRISE, Fla. – The Canadian National Junior Team announced today that Panthers prospect LW Kenndal McArdle has made its final roster for the 2007 World Junior Championships which begin December 26 and run through January 5 in Mora and Leksand, Sweden.

McArdle, 19, was the Cats first pick (20th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He had 10 goals and 10 assists in 26 games with the WHL's Moose Jaw before being traded to the Vancouver Giants. In six games with the Giants, McArdle has one goal and three assists.

Team Canada is the two-time defending champion of this tournament and will open play December 26 against host Sweden.
