Panthers own No. 1 pick and four more in 2014 Draft

The Florida Panthers hold five total picks, including the first overall selection, at the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. The first round of the draft will take place on Friday at 7 p.m. (NBCSN) at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia while rounds 2-7 will be held on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. (NHL Network).

In addition to the first overall pick, the Panthers have picks in the second (32nd overall), fourth (92nd overall), fifth (143rd overall) and seventh (182nd) rounds. The Panthers third round pick was traded, along with a 2016 fifth round pick, to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Brandon Pirri on March 2, 2014. Florida’s sixth round pick was traded, along with F Scott Timmins, to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Krys Barch and a 2015 seventh round pick on September 28, 2013.
