Panthers Make Roster Moves

Booth, Stewart, Sprukts, Semenov & Vallin to Rochester; Shvidki Released

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers General Manager and Head Coach Jacques Martin announced today that the club has assigned LW David Booth, RW Anthony Stewart, C Janis Sprukts, D Alexei Semenov and D Ari Vallin to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. The team also announced that they released LW Denis Shividki from their club's training camp roster. With the moves the Panthers roster now stands at 24 players.

Booth, 21, played in five preseason games with the Panthers recording his first NHL goal Sept. 21 at the Chicago Blackhawks. Stewart, 21, appeared in five preseason contests recording one assist. Sprukts, 25 played in four preseason games scoring one goal. Semenov, 25, played in four preseason contests recording one assist. Vallin, 28, appeared in three preseason games earning his first NHL tally on Sept. 23 versus the New York Rangers. Shivdki, 25, played in three preseason games with the Cats registering one assist.
