Luongo panthers

Florida Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo had offseason hip surgery, the Sun Sentinel reported Friday.
The surgery was considered minor and Luongo is expected to be ready for the start of next season.

Luongo, 37, was 35-19-6 with a 2.35 goals-against average and .922 save percentage during the regular season for the Atlantic Division-winning Panthers.
He had a 2.05 GAA and .934 save percentage during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Florida lost to the New York Islanders in the Eastern Conference First Round in six games.
