SUNRISE, Fla. – More than 4,000 fans attended the fourth annual South Florida Hockeyfest on Saturday, May 3 at the Florida Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs. Appearances by Florida Panthers D Erik Gudbranson

highlighted the daylong event.
“We had a tremendous turnout at Hockeyfest this past weekend,” said Panthers Vice President and IceDen General Manager Jeff Campol. “It was great to welcome all our fans to our free event where both beginner and advanced players had the opportunity to test and purchase new equipment while also having the chance to interact with Panthers players.”
Hockeyfest featured exclusive demo opportunities from top equipment manufacturers including Bauer, CCM, Reebok and Warrior. In addition, all Hockeyfest attendees had the chance to receive special prizes, giveaways and discounts. Activities for children included interactive games, ball hockey and a bounce house.
The Broward County Animal Care & Adoption Center also hosted a Paws & Claws Pet Adoption event during Hockeyfest. Six dogs and one cat received new homes on Saturday.
