COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Dale Tallon, executive vice president and general manager of hockey operations for the National Hockey League's Florida Panthers, has been added to the U.S. Men's National Team Advisory Committee.

"We're obviously excited to have Dale join our advisory group," said Jim Johannson, assistant executive director of hockey operations at USA Hockey. "He brings a great deal of passion for international hockey and has shown an adept ability in evaluating players."

Tallon will join fellow NHL front-office personnel Brian Burke (Toronto Maple Leafs), Paul Holmgren (Philadelphia Flyers), Dean Lombardi (Los Angeles Kings), David Poile (Nashville Predators), Ray Shero (Pittsburgh Penguins) and Don Waddell (Atlanta Thrashers) on the advisory committee that is charged with leading the selection of players for the U.S. Men's National Team.

“It is a great honor and privilege to be added to the U.S. Men’s National Team Advisory Committee,” said Tallon. “I look forward to working with my NHL front office counterparts in the evaluation and selection of the players for the U.S. Men’s National Team that will compete at the 2010 World Hockey Championship in Slovakia.”

NOTE: The 2011 U.S. Men's National Team will compete at the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship from April 29-May 15, 2011, in Bratislava and Kosice, Slovakia.
