Panthers Fans May Not Be Able To Watch FOX Sports Cats Broadcasts On DISH Network

by Staff Writer / Florida Panthers
SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that Florida Panthers fans that are DISH Network subscribers will not be able to enjoy the Cats regular season opener on FOX Sports Florida, or any games during the 2010-11 season, as long as FOX (national) and DISH Network remain in a new contract stalemate.

The Panthers are hopeful that a deal is made soon between DISH and Fox so that all fans will be able to watch Cats games all season long. In addition, fans looking to join fellow Panthers supporters on game nights can attend the Duffy’s Sports Grills watch parties on the following upcoming dates:

Sunday, Oct. 10 – PGA & Plantation
Saturday, Oct. 30 – Fort Lauderdale
Saturday, Nov. 6 - TBA
Wednesday, Nov. 18 – Plantation
Saturday, Dec. 4 – Boca Raton
Thursday, Dec. 9 – Deerfield Beach

Information from FOX Sports Florida:
At midnight on Oct. 1, DISH Network dropped FOX Sports Florida (and all FSN networks throughout the United States) because it refused to reach a fair agreement with FOX to carry the network. As a result, Panthers fans that have DISH will probably miss this Sunday’s season opener at Edmonton, as well as the home opener vs. Tampa Bay on Oct. 16.

If you would like to learn more, please call 1-877-99-I-PAID or go to www.GetWhatIPaidFor.com. If you are not a DISH customer, you will not be affected and get to enjoy all of FOX Sports Florida’s Panthers telecasts this season, including this Sunday’s opener as the Panthers take on the Oilers at 10:00 p.m.
