by Staff Writer / Florida Panthers
SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers announced today that D Ed Jovanovski will host a Red Hot Cats Cookout on Wednesday, Aug 17 from 6-8 p.m. at the BankAtlantic Center. As part of the Cookout, any fans that purchase lower bowl or club level season tickets on-site will get a special Jovanovski autographed gift. The season ticket package must be at least a half season plan to qualify for the prize.

“Wednesday’s Cookout is a great opportunity for fans to welcome original Panther Ed Jovanovski back to South Florida, and also to get their season tickets for one of the most anticipated seasons in franchise history,” said Panthers President & COO Michael Yormark. “With incredible value on season ticket packages and a team of passionate, talented and committed players, it’s time to ‘See Red’ and get ready for Opening Night on Oct. 15.”

Fans will have the opportunity to select their seats at the Cookout when they purchase exclusive one-night-only promotions for season tickets, sample V.I.P. options that are available only for season seat holders and learn about all the other ticket options that are available. Fans will also have the opportunity to meet former Panthers defenseman and current radio voice Randy ‘Red Deer” Moller, former Panthers winger and current TV analyst Billy Lindsay, TV play-by-play man Steve “Goldie” Goldstein, as well as former Panthers forwards Serge Payer and Chris Wells.

The festivities include a free barbeque dinner, drinks and autograph opportunities. Fans interested in attending should call (954) 835-PUCK to RSVP for the event.
