Panthers' Clemmensen Named To USA National Team

SUNRISE, FL – USA Hockey announced today that Florida Panthers G Scott Clemmensen has been selected for Team USA’s roster that will compete at the 2010 IIHF World Championships in Germany.

Clemmensen, 32, played in 30 games with Florida this season going 9-8-2 with a 2.91 GAA and a .912 save percentage. For his career in the National Hockey League, he has played in 91 games (New Jersey – 2001-2007 & 2008-09; Toronto – 2007-08; Florida 2009-10) posting a 42-28-7 mark with five shutouts and a 2.67 GAA.
The Des Moines, IA, native won a NCAA national championship with Boston College in 2001. Clemmensen ranks as Boston College’s career wins leader (99) and helped Boston College advance to the Frozen Four in each of his four playing seasons (1997-2001). 
The 2010 IIHF World Championships will take place May 7-23 in Cologne and Mannheim, Germany.
