Panthers Assign Trio to Rochester

SUNRISE, FL - Florida Panthers General Manager and Head Coach Jacques Martin announced today that the club has assigned D Martin Lojek, LW Stefan Meyer and C Kamil Kreps to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Lojek, 21, played in two preseason contests with the Cats scoring his only goal of the preseason on Sept. 18 at Edmonton. Meyer, 21, played in three scoreless preseason games, while Kreps, 21, played in four preseason games without recording a point. All three players will immediately join the Rochester Americans training camp.

The Panthers training camp roster now stands at 34 players. The Panthers visit the Detroit Red Wings this evening for their sixth preseason contest, before returning home for a pair of home preseason tilts with the Atlanta Thrashers (Sept. 27) and the Chicago Blackhawks (Sept. 28). Both games begin at 7:30 p.m.
