Panthers Announce Upcoming Community Events

SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers today announced multiple upcoming events in support of the team’s designation of January as I Love Hockey Month. Panthers players, Stanley C. Panther, the Redline Lady Panthers and the Panthers Patrol will make appearance throughout January to celebrate their love of hockey.

Panthers players will host a Panthers Community Rink Tour on Saturday, Jan. 7 at three local rinks: Glacier Ice & Snow Arena (approximately 2:30 p.m.), Palm Beach Ice Works (approximately 3 p.m.) and Palm Beach Skate Zone (approximately 3p.m.). Players will meet with youth hockey teams and sign autographs for fans during the appearances.
Players will interact with fans during Panthers LIVE! at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30 at Duffy’s Sports Grill in Plantation. The players will take part in a Q&A and sign autographs, while fans can enjoy special rates on food and drinks.
The Panthers will host a Community Rink Practice at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Kendall Ice Arena. Fans can watch Head Coach Kevin Dineen lead his players through a typical NHL practice.
The Panthers will host two watch parties during January. Fans can watch the Panthers visit the Winnipeg Jets and see the unveiling of the Panthers Patio on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. at Duffy’s Sports Grill in Coconut Creek. The Panthers will also hold a watch party for the 2012 NHL All-Star Game on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. at Duffy’s Sports Grill in Fort Lauderdale. During both watch parties, fans can register to win prizes and play games hosted by the Panthers Patrol.
Additionally, the Panthers will celebrate the month’s designations with four home games at BankAtlantic Center in January. The contests include a Jan. 9 meeting with the Vancouver Canucks, a clash with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Jan. 13, a game against the defending Stanley Cup Champions Boston Bruins on Jan. 16 and a match with the Philadelphia Flyers on Jan. 24. All games start at 7:30 p.m. ET.
All player appearances are based on availability and subject to change.
