SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers today unveiled their season seat holder ticket pricing for the 2008-09 season. Under the new pricing structure, most new season seat holders’ costs will remain consistent with last year’s pricing, with selected ticket plans seeing a reduction in cost from last season. New season seat holders, who choose to sit in premium locations, as well as those season seat holders who have yet to renew in these premium locations, will see an increase in cost.
“This new pricing structure continues to allow our club to maintain the most fan friendly ticket prices in the market, while significantly strengthening the value of being a full season seat holder,” said Florida Panthers President/COO Michael Yormark. “Our organization remains committed to providing a strong value for the NHL experience and this new pricing structure allows us to ensure that Panthers hockey is affordable for the entire South Florida community.”
Terrace level tickets will drop in price for all ticket plans - with the addition of 750 seats now included in the terrace level category - the club’s most affordable price point.
Three seat locations (lower bowl endzones, Lexus club & sideline balcony) will see a decrease in their cost for new full season seat plans.
Five seat locations (front row, Panthers club, premium endzones, mezzanine & goalzone) will not see any change in price from last season.
Two seat locations (premium sidelines & lower bowl sidelines) will see a price increase in their season seat plans for the 2008-09 season.
Two new seating locations have been added in the lower bowl (premium plaza middle & plaza middle).
Additionally, the club announced that individual tickets will once again be subject to a variable pricing structure with select high demand (A) games being assessed a $25 premium charge over the standard gate price cost.
“The practice of charging a premium on individual tickets for select high demand games is becoming very common both within the sports industry, as well as in the NHL,” said Yormark. “South Florida is a tourist destination that attracts numerous out-of-town fans, creating a demand for certain games. This premium charge is necessary in order to emphasize and reinforce the value of owning season seats.”
