Panthers And Sunrise Fire Rescue Host National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Survivors Night On Wednesday

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that the Florida Panthers and Sunrise Fire Rescue will host National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Survivors Night during the Cats-Senators game on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the BankAtlantic Center.

Approximately 60 members of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and Sunrise Fire Rescue will attend Wednesday night’s game, while the Sunrise Fire Rescue Honor Guard will present the colors of the United States for the pregame national anthem.
“We are honored to host the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and Sunrise Fire Rescue during Wednesday’s Panthers game,” said SSE President & COO Michael R. Yormark. “Members of the NFFF are survivors of firefighters who have died in the line of duty and we are humbled join Sunrise Fire Rescue in honoring them at the BankAtlantic Center.”
“This event is part of a week-long conference specifically dedicated to the needs of the survivors,” said Sunrise Fire Rescue Chief Thomas DiBernardo. “The fire service is truly a family. Sunrise Fire Rescue, along with all of the fire agencies throughout Broward County, are especially honored to be in partnership with the NFFF.”
The United States Congress created the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to lead a nationwide effort to remember America's fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the tax-exempt, nonprofit Foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor our fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers.
The Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, located in Emmitsburg, Maryland. It is registered as a corporation in the State of Maryland. The Foundation receives funding through private donations from caring individuals, organizations, corporations, and foundations.
