Panthers and Sports Talk 790 Launch Partnership

SUNRISE, FL. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment and Florida Panthers Chief Operating Officer Michael Yormark in conjunction with Prime Time Media Group announced today that Sports Talk 790 The Ticket will be the new home for Florida Panthers hockey. Under the agreement, 790 The Ticket will broadcast all 82 regular season games and playoff games through the 2009-2010 season.

“As the number one sports talk radio station in South Florida, 790 The Ticket is excited to be the home of the Florida Panthers,” Joel Feinberg, President of 790 The Ticket said. “We look forward to a great partnership with a team that is poised to make a run at the Stanley Cup”.

The new partnership also includes weekly Panthers team related programming and expanded exposure for the many entities associated with the Florida Panthers and Sunrise Sports & Entertainment. The Panthers will air a 30-minute pre-game show prior to all weekday games that begin with a 7:30 puck drop, as well as a 15-minute post-game wrap-up show. In addition, 790 The Ticket will air a 60-minute pre-season special, a weekly 15-minute Panthers radio show that will include interviews with players, coaches and team personnel and a one hour Panthers Weekend Edition show. In addition, the station will provide the Panthers with playoff related programming, as well as a 60-minute NHL draft show.

790 The Ticket, is the South Florida market’s only 24-hour sports station. The station boasts original local programs 5AM-Midnight hosted by some of the most recognizable and respected names in South Florida sports including Dan LeBatard and Stugotz, Sid Rosenberg, Jon “Boog” Sciambi, Joe Rose  and Kevin Rogers.

790 The Ticket’s specialty programming includes the biggest in sports with weekly shows from Peter Gammons, Chris Mortensen, and Terrell Owens. 790 The Ticket has positioned itself in the market as the young, energetic sports station and has daily top-notch interviews with all the A-list athletes and celebrities.
