Panthers Agree to One-Year Contract with D Michael Caruso

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has agreed to terms with D Michael Caruso on a one-year, two way contract.

 
Caruso, 23, played in 75 games for the Rochester Americans (AHL) last season, scoring five goals with four assists and 77 PIM. For his career in the American Hockey league, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman has recorded 30 points (7-23-30) and 185 penalty minutes in 215 AHL games.
 
The Mississauga, Ontario, native was drafted by Florida in the fourth round (103rd overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
