Panthers Acquire D Sean Zimmerman From Vancouver In Exchange For D Nathan Paetsch

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced today the club has acquired D Sean Zimmerman from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for D Nathan Paetsch. Zimmerman will be assigned to the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Zimmerman, 23, played in 72 games with the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) last season scoring two goals with seven assists and 105 PIM. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the sixth round (170th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
