SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that 16,607 fans attended the Florida Panthers’ 4-3 overtime victory over the rival Tampa Bay Lightning this past Saturday night.
The game was the centerpiece of the limited time “Good Time Challenge” promotion and featured an incredible fan experience including the Panthers Party Patrol on the JetBlue Tarmac, the Panthers Ice Dancers Reunion, the compelling in-game presentation and, of course, the action on the ice that ended with Jason Garrison
’s overtime winner.
“We supported our claim as the best live sports experience in South Florida with an unforgettable night on Saturday,” said Panthers president & COO Michael Yormark. “Saturday’s game sizzled from beginning to end with an incredible back-and-forth battle with our in-state rival Tampa Bay, and engaging fan initiatives both outside on the JetBlue Tarmac and inside the BankAtlantic Center. Quite frankly, I would confidently say that we met our ‘Good Time Challenge.’”
With this one-off promotion the Panthers challenged the South Florida community to judge what they boast to be the best live fan experience in South Florida sports. The offer: any regular priced single game ticket buyers will get a credit for every $1 spent at Saturday night’s game – including concessions, merchandise, ticket price, etc. – toward a season ticket package for the 2011-12 season. The tickets must be purchased through Ticketmaster, the BankAtlantic Center box office or the Panthers sales department. Promotional rules apply.
