Less Than 1,000 Tickets Remain For Panthers Opening Night

Fans can expect an incredible atmosphere for the Cats first home game of the 2009-10 NHL season with a live band, new Growl Towel giveaways courtesy of Office Depot (to the first 15,000 fans), bounce houses, rock walls, DJs, street hockey, the debut of the new Panthers opening video and Bova Panthers Ice Dancers squad and more.
The Cats began the season this past weekend as part of the NHL Premiere in Helsinki, Finland. The Panthers went 1-1 in two games vs. Western Conference favorite Chicago on the strength of Tomas Vokoun’s play in net and solid performances from David Booth (goal), Michael Frolik (goal, assist), Ville Koistinen (goal and shootout gamewinner) and others.
The Panthers are back in action on Friday night vs. the Carolina Hurricanes live on Fox Sports Florida before their home opener vs. the Devils on Saturday at 7 p.m. Friday night’s game vs. the division rival Canes marks the debut of the new Fox Sports broadcasting tandem of Steve “Goldie” Goldstein and former Panther Billy Lindsay, so fans should be sure to tune in.
