New this season, Panthers Ice Dancer Kelli will be sharing her thoughts on this upcoming season from what's going on with the dancers (including the try out proccess), to what's going on and off the ice, as well as anything else that she cares to discuss.
Kelli is trying out once again this year to become an Ice Dancer for her third season. The Fort Lauderdale native is also currently working towards earning her broadcast journalism degree.
Hello Panther Fans!!
The girls and I had our annual initiation dinner a few weeks ago giving us the chance to take a break from all the hard work put in and really get to mingle with each other and get to know one another a little bit better. At the dinner, Nichole announced this year’s Captain and Co-Captain!
I am very honored and proud to say that I was announced the new 2008-2009 Panthers Ice Dancers Captain!!!!!! (YAH!!) I am very excited!!

One of our amazing sponsors, John Casablanca’s Modeling, has set all of the dancers into private modeling classes to brush up on our skills and learn some new things. Within the past few weeks we were taught how to walk on the runway (it’s actually a lot harder then you’d think!), how to pose for the camera, apply makeup properly for certain occasions, tips on interviewing, and we even completed a photo shoot in our bikinis to prepare us for our calendar shoot coming up in Grand Bahama Island!! Below are pictures from some of the classes. Unfortunately, there are no pictures of us in the bikinis! Sorry guys, you have to wait for the calendar to come out!! :)

Although boot camp is over, the workouts and practices are not! Now that we have a few weeks of rehearsal as a team under our belts, I’m can honestly say that I am extremely impressed with the amount of talent and dedication we have this season. The girls really are doing greeeeeat! Pretend I said that like Tony the Tiger! ;)
At rehearsal, Chris Grant came in to choreograph a number for us. Now, many of you may have no idea who Chris is; however, you might recognize his face. He’s been featured on Making the Band, America’s Best Dance Crew, and many other popular dance TV shows. His dances are so full of energy and really fun to watch.
We got our uniforms in this past week, so the hard work is definitely starting to pay off! They’re all white this year and they are so hot! I’ll give you a sneak peak next week once we shoot the team photo! You’re definitely going to like ‘em!!
