SUNRISE, Fla. – The second edition of “Inside the Panthers” of the 2012-13 season looking at the life and career of Florida Panthers sophomore defenseman, Erik Gudbranson debuts tonight at 10:30pm on FOX Sports Florida following the Panthers-Rangers game at 7:00pm. “Inside the Panthers” is hosted and produced by Frank Forte.
Inside The Panthers traveled to Gudbranson’s hometown of Orleans, Ontario as they learned about Gudbranson’s early days in hockey, his relationship with his younger, hockey-playing siblings, as well as his brother Dennis' battle with leukemia. The show also takes an inside look at Gudbranson and his play as he was recently mic’d up for a game. Featured interviews include Erik’s parents, Wayne and Donna and his sister Chantal and brother Dennis.
Gudbranson was selected by Florida in the first round (third overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. The defenseman has recorded 12 points (2-10-12) in 93 games in his first two seasons with Florida after spending his junior career with the Kingston Frontenacs. The 6-foot-4 blueliner has also suited up for Team Canada at two World Junior Championships (2010, 2011).
