In the Pipeline: First Week of Finals

Three Florida Panthers prospects began their respective league’s championship series this past week.

JUNIORS

F Christopher Clapperton - Rimouski Oceanic

In the QMJHL Championship Finals, Clapperton and the Oceanic are currently trailing the Québec Remparts 2-1. In three games played in the finals, Clapperton has recorded three points (1-2—3) adding to his postseason total of 19 points (10-9—19) in 14 games played. The Oceanic head to Québec City for Game 4 as they look to even the series.

F Jayce Hawryluk – Brandon Wheat Kings

Hawryluk and the Wheat Kings currently trail the Kelowna Rockets 2-0 in the WHL Championship series. Hawryluk has been limited to one assist in the first two games of the series, adding to his postseason total of 19 points (10-9—19) in 14 games. Falling twice in Brandon, the Wheat Kings will look to reverse their fortunes in Kelowna.

D Josh Brown – Oshawa Generals

The Generals have taken a 2-0 lead in their series against the Erie Otters. In two games of the series, Brown has notched a +4 rating as he has helped Oshawa shut down F Connor McDavid, the potential number one pick in the 2015 Draft and 2015 potential top-five pick F Dylan Strome. Both McDavid and Strome have been held to one assist each in their last two games.
