ALL ABOUT THAT JAYCE

Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have agreed to terms on an entry-level contract with forward Jayce Hawryluk.

Hawryluk has had a strong season in 2015-16, and was on fire throughout the month of February. In February, Hawryluk recorded 33 points (7-26-33) in 13 games. In that span, the Panthers 2014 second round pick registered 10 multi-point games, including a WHL career-high six point performance (2-4-6) on Feb. 17 vs. Kootenay.

LAMMIKKO LEADS THE WAY

Juho Lammikko recorded back-to-back two-point nights on Feb.28-29. The 20-year old Finn recorded a goal and an assist on Feb. 29 vs. Ottawa (5-2 W) after scoring twice the night before to lead Kingston over Sudbury 5-1. Lammikko recorded five multi-point games in February (7-5-12).

ROCCO ROLLIN’

Rocco Grimaldi enters this week with goals in back-to-back games. The 23-year old forward has recorded three goals over his last two games, scoring twice in Portland’s 4-2 victory over Springfield on Sunday. Grimaldi earned first star of the game honors for his performance at Cross Insurance Arena.

The Anaheim, California native has recorded four points (3-1-4) over his last five games. Grimaldi has 27 points (13-14-27) in 39 games with the Pirates this season and is one goal shy of tying his AHL career-high for goals in a season (14, 2014-15).
