The Florida Panthers held a 30-minute on-ice workout at incredibleICE in Coral Springs on Wednesday morning with both RW Nathan Horton (broken tibia) and RW Bryon Bitz (lower body) practicing with the team.
“Nate made it through practice today, we will see how he feels tomorrow morning and we are hopeful he will play tomorrow night, said head coach Peter DeBoer. “Byron is progressing, but he is doubtful for tomorrow night and could possibly play in the games this weekend.”
After earning four out of a possible six points in their recent three-game Western Conference road trip, the Cats dropped a 7-3 decision to the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night
“We are disappointed about the result last night, but we have to move forward,” said DeBoer. “We had a meeting today, just finished a good practice and we have to get ready for a very good Phoenix club tomorrow night. We know the position we are in and we cannot afford to have efforts like last night.”
The Panthers host Phoenix on Thursday night, before completing a four-game homestand with contests against Buffalo on Saturday, Mar. 20 and Tampa Bay on Sunday, Mar. 21.
