Hollywood, Fla., September 14, 2012 – Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, FL has teamed up with Florida Panthers veteran defenseman Ed Jovanovski to unleash the ultimate taste bud slap shot – the “Jovo Burger!”
“I’m excited and honored that Hard Rock Cafe gave me the chance to create my own burger and also to support a great cause,” said Jovanovski. “As a team, we pride ourselves on being active in the local community and working with Hard Rock on this exciting promotion is a great example of that.”
Jovanovski’s creation joins Hard Rock International’s Local Legendary Burger menu, featuring specialty burgers that capture the culinary spirit of each city and are unique to each Hard Rock location worldwide. The “Jovo Burger” is available only at Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, FL beginning on Monday, October 1, 2012. The offering features a 10-ounce certified Angus Beef burger, topped with fresh spinach, caramelized onions, ground seasoned sausage, sautéed jalapenos, cheddar cheese and tomato.
For each burger purchased, Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, FL will donate $2 to the Florida Panthers Foundation, a non-profit organization that maintains a focus on children’s health, fitness, education and cultural needs. During the 2010 season, the Florida Panthers Foundation implemented the Panthers Pledge for Pediatric Cancer, which outlines the organizations determined efforts to support children and families battling pediatric cancer.
