Gameday Growl: Jan. 22 vs. Chicago Blackhawks

The BB&T Center bag policy has stated that no backpacks, large bags or purses larger than 1’ x 1’ would be permitted upon entry for security purposes and the safety of fans. This season, staff members have been enforcing this policy at entrance points and are now equipped with measuring guides to ensure fan safety.

Coffee is available in sections 105, 119, 130, 305, 319, 330, Penalty Box, Coors Light Cold Zone and Legends.

Check out live music performances start when doors open, at intermission and post-game! Fans can access the music at the Band Stand, located directly above Pantherland at the front of the BB&T Center at the Coors Light Cold Zone.

Marc Gruverman of The Capital Grille

Marc Gruverman graduated with a B.A. Degree from Mercer University in 1990 and shortly thereafter enrolled in Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute. After graduation he completed an internship at the 4-Star, 4-Diamond Boca Raton Hotel and Resort. He soon joined Max’s South Beach working with his long time mentor Kerry Simon, of the famed Simon’s Kitchen at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. His first Executive Chef position was at Mercury in South Beach. Two years later, Chef Gruverman opened Jackson’s Steakhouse in Ft.Lauderdale where he served as Executive Chef for eight years. In August of 2004, Chef Gruverman joined The Capital Grille Fort Lauderdale.

Executive Chef Partner, Marc Gruverman, of The Capital Grille in Ft. Lauderdale has more than 18 years of experience in the South Florida market. Chef Gruverman is responsible for the day to day culinary operations of the restaurant. Chef Gruverman’s was quickly identified as a culinary visionary with the Capital Grille concept and has been instrumental with national research and development. Chef Gruverman was named Executive Chef of the Year in 2005 for The Capital Grille concept. Chef Gruverman has won numerous awards and accolades throughout his celebrated career Born and raised in South Florida, Chef Gruverman believes in positively contributing to his community, by participating in various charity events and functions. He has served as culinary chairperson for March of Dimes, and JA Uncorked, Boys and Girls Clubs, The Heart Association Ball, Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital, Taste of the Nation, Humane Society of Broward County Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation.

In his spare time he enjoys watching the Yankees do what they do best, win. Chef Gruverman resides in Victoria Park and is an avid tennis player. In his spare time Chef Marc loves to cook local ingredients and eat out at as many South Florida establishments as possible, he believes that the South Florida market has so much diverse and incredible flavors.
