Four Things Every Panthers Fan Should Know

by Staff Writer / Florida Panthers
1. Panthers captain Olli Jokinen is on fire, scoring 12 goals and 8 assists in his last 13 games. Jokinen's goal Saturday night tied him with Pavel Bure for 2nd place on the Panthers all-time goals scored list with 152 goals as a Panther. Jokinen is only 2 goals away from tying with career high in goals at 38 which he set last season.

2. The Panthers will close out the home portion of the regular season this weekend with three home games in five days. Florida is 21-13-4 at home this season including 11-4-3 since the calender turned to 2007.

3. At the Panthers home finale Sunday, the Panthers will host a "shirts off our back" silent auction. After the game, winning fans will be escorted to the ice and players will hand the fans the jerseys right off their back as a thank you for all the support over the season.

4. Panthers C Chris Gratton played in his 1000th career NHL game Thursday night against Ottawa. Gratton became only the 217th player in NHL history to reach this milestone. The Panthers organization recognized this feat with a video tribute and an on-ice presentation before Thursday's game. At the age of 31, Gratton is one of the youngest players ever to recieve the silver stick.
