Florida will finish out the season with three consecutive road games against Southeast Division rivals Washington (Tuesday), Tampa Bay (Friday) and Carolina (Saturday).
This week's community story: In Sunday’s home finale against Carolina, Florida hosted a “Shirts off our Back” Night. Every Panthers game-used jersey was auctioned off with proceeds going towards the Florida Panthers Foundations. G Ed Belfour’s jersey raised the most money, going for $5,000. C Olli Jokinen’s was second at over $2,500. After the game each player personally presented the winning bidder with the jersey right off their back.
Team/Player Highlight: Martin Gelinas scored two goals this past week and now stands at 299 career goals. He has three games remaining to reach the 300-plateau.
