Forwards Kreps and Globke Accept Qualifying Offers

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager and Head Coach Jacques Martin announced today that RW Rob Globke and C Kamil Kreps have accepted their qualifying offers keeping them a member of the Panthers organization for the 2007-08 season.
Kreps, 22, made his NHL debut on Jan. 7, 2007 at Vancouver. He scored his first NHL goal on April 6, 2007 at Tampa Bay. Overall, Kreps played in 14 games with Florida this past season, scoring one goal and one assist. In 50 games with the Rochester Americans (AHL), the Litomerice, Czech Republic native scored 35 points (14-21-35). Kreps was the Panthers third choice (38th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Globke, 24, played in 19 games for Florida this season posting one assist. In 48 games played for Rochester (AHL), Globke had 18 points (7-11-18). The Farmington, Michigan native made his NHL debut on Dec. 28, 2005 at Boston. He scored his first NHL goal on Feb. 4, 2006 at Atlanta. Globke was the Panthers third choice (40th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
“Both Kamil and Rob showed progress in their development this past season and stepped in to play when called upon,” Martin said. “We look forward to having them in our organization for another year and watching them continue to progress to the point where they become a regular in the Panthers lineup.”
