Florida Panthers to Open Development Camp on June 29

The Florida Panthers announced today that the club will hold their annual development camp from Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, at the Florida Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs.

Panthers prospects expected to attend the camp include Florida’s upcoming 2015 first round draft choice, 2012 first round draft choice D Michael Matheson (23rd overall) and 2011 second round draft choice F Rocco Grimaldi (33rd overall). Florida expects approximately 25 prospects to attend development camp. Click here for a full roster. 

“Development Camp gives us a chance to evaluate our prospects through a comprehensive schedule of on-and-off-ice activities, said Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon. “With a focus on conditioning, nutrition, teamwork and community service, the camp provides our prospects the opportunity to learn more about the level of commitment it takes to play in the National Hockey League.”

A complete development camp schedule is listed below. Media interviews will be conducted at the conclusion of the on-ice sessions.

Monday June 29 – On-ice session (11:00 AM-1:30 PM)

Tuesday, June 30 – Beach workout [AM] and community service event [PM] (No on-ice session)

Wednesday, July 1 – On-ice session (9:30 AM -11:00 AM)

Thursday, July 2 – On-ice skills competition (9:00 AM- 11:00 AM)
