The 2017-18 season will feature two home games against all of the Panthers' Atlantic Division opponents, beginning with the home opener against their cross-state rival the Tampa Bay Lightning on Oct. 7. The expansion Vegas Golden Knights will make their first-ever trip to BB&T Center on Jan. 19 and Florida will host the 2016 and 2017 Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins on two occasions (Oct. 20 and Feb. 24.)
Over Thanksgiving week the Panthers will host the Toronto Maple Leafs (Nov. 22) and the Chicago Blackhawks (Nov. 25). The Panthers home schedule also features a four-game holiday homestand, with games against the Minnesota Wild (Dec. 22), the Ottawa Senators (Dec. 23), the Philadelphia Flyers (Dec. 28) and the Montreal Canadiens (Dec. 30.) Highlighting the Panthers regular season schedule are two family friendly weekend matinee games against the Philadelphia Flyers on March 4 at 3 p.m. and against the Edmonton Oilers on March 17 at 2 p.m..
