SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have signed forward Justin Fontaine and defenseman Adam Pardy to professional tryouts.
The 28-year old Fontaine recorded 16 points (5-11-16) in 60 games with the Minnesota Wild during the 2015-16 season. The 5-foot-10, 174-pound native of Bonnyville, Alberta has recorded 68 points (21-41-68) in 197 career NHL games, all with Minnesota (2013-16).
The 32-year old Pardy recorded three assists in nine games with the Edmonton Oilers and recorded one assist in 14 games with the Winnipeg Jets during the 2015-16 season. The 6-foot-4, 227-pound native of Bonavista, Newfoundland has recorded 52 points (4-48-52) in 338 career NHL games with Edmonton (2015-2016), Winnipeg (2013-16), Buffalo (2012-13), Dallas (2011-12) and Calgary (2008-11). Pardy was originally selected by Calgary in the sixth round (173rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft.
