Florida Panthers Sign Forward Justin Fontaine and Defenseman Adam Pardy to Professional Tryouts

Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have signed forward Justin Fontaine and defenseman Adam Pardy to professional tryouts.

The 28-year old Fontaine recorded 16 points (5-11-16) in 60 games with the Minnesota Wild during the 2015-16 season. The 5-foot-10, 174-pound native of Bonnyville, Alberta has recorded 68 points (21-41-68) in 197 career NHL games, all with Minnesota (2013-16).

The 32-year old Pardy recorded three assists in nine games with the Edmonton Oilers and recorded one assist in 14 games with the Winnipeg Jets during the 2015-16 season. The 6-foot-4, 227-pound native of Bonavista, Newfoundland has recorded 52 points (4-48-52) in 338 career NHL games with Edmonton (2015-2016), Winnipeg (2013-16), Buffalo (2012-13), Dallas (2011-12) and Calgary (2008-11). Pardy was originally selected by Calgary in the sixth round (173rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft.

The Florida Panthers open the regular season at the BB&T Center on Oct. 13 against the New Jersey Devils. Full and partial ticket packages are now available that include flexible payment plans.
