SUNRISE, Fla. – Hitting will take on a whole new meaning on Friday, February 20 as Florida Panthers players serve as dealers at the Fourth Annual Florida Panthers Ice & Dice Casino Night. The Florida Panthers Foundation anticipates a large crowd for an over the top Las Vegas-style, five-star evening which fans can’t afford to miss.
As always, the Foundation’s signature fundraiser will feature the entire Florida Panthers team, including players, coaches and broadcasters, serving as dealers at this annual casino night. Guests can expect to see the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa transformed into an authentic casino, complete with blackjack, roulette and craps tables as well as a Texas Hold ‘Em poker.
Individual tickets are available to the public at $250 apiece, with each guest receiving $250 in gaming chips as well as one $100 gift certificate for an Innovative Beauty treatment and four Lexus Club Level tickets to an upcoming Florida Panthers home game.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, which is the leading children’s hospital in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. This state of the art hospital is uniquely qualified to treat some of the most complex and critical medical situations that children may be forced to face, and it does it all in an environment designed specifically to comfort children facing treatment.
This exciting evening will also feature dancing and gourmet dinner stations, a decadent cake for dessert, provided by We Take the Cake, amazing casino prizes and a first class silent auction. As always, the highlight of the silent auction will be the player baskets; each wife or girlfriend of a Panthers player will create a basket of their favorite things for the auction table. In the past, these baskets have included such remarkable items as signed memorabilia, video games, iPods, and Nintendo Wiis, among other items.
And this year, guests can expect a truly incredible live auction. Complete with a live auctioneer, the live auction is scheduled to include tickets to the Masters golf tournament, an F-16 Fighter Jet Flight Experience, Chauffer Driven Private Napa Valley Wine Tours, Colorado Ski Vacations and more, items are subject to change.
“The Ice & Dice Casino Night will be the highlight of our fundraising initiatives this year and promises to be a night to remember for those in attendance,” said Florida Panthers Foundation Chairman Stu Siegel “After the success of last year’s event, we’re going to feature a greater assortment of casino games, a plethora of high-end auction items, a wonderful dinner spread and to top it off, the proceeds from Ice & Dice will benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a hospital that does so much for the children of South Florida.”
