SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers announced today that they have selected Ghaleb as the Anthem Singer for the 2015-16 season. Additionally, Andrew Imber has been selected as the Florida Panthers PA Announcer for the 2015 – 16 season.
Ghaleb will serve as the Panthers’ main Anthem Singer. Ghaleb started musical training at age three under his father’s teaching. His father was a musician and played slap bass, clarinet, baritone saxophone and other instruments. Ghaleb studied musical composition for the past 10 years at some of the most prestigious musical institutions in the world. In 2007, he competed in “American Idol” where he was sent to Hollywood, Calif. and finished in the top 50.
Caroline Canning will be an Alternate Anthem Singer. A resident of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Canning began singing at age four in a children’s choir at her church. She regularly sings in church and has performed in several musicals with KP Productions, a local musical theater company that is also known for its charity work. The 11-year-old is a competitive swimmer for the Deerfield Beach Dolphins. Canning has performed the National Anthem at several swim meets for the South Florida Recreational Swim League.
Anna Hinsley will also serve as Alternate Anthem Singer for the Panthers. The 14-year-old Parkland, Fla. resident, is a singer, dancer and actress. Hinsley began performing at age nine and quickly became a staple on stage in South Florida by starring in plays like “Beauty and the Beast” and “Hairspray.” She has performed with Broward County’s Honors Chorus, South Florida Parenting Magazine’s Holiday Festival and Christmas on Las Olas Blvd. Hinsley has studied performing arts in New York City with Broadway performers and acting studios.
A South Florida native, Andrew Imber will be the 2015 – 16 PA Announcer for the Panthers. Imber spent the past eight years as PA Announcer and play-by-play announcer for the Florida Atlantic University Hockey team. Imber received a degree in broadcasting from FAU. Imber has been a Panthers fan since the team’s inaugural season in 1993 – 94 and even worked as a Communications Intern and back-up PA Announcer for the Panthers.
The Florida Panthers will face the Philadelphia Flyers in their season opener at BB&T Center on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. Single game tickets are now available for purchase for prices as low as $20.
