SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that forward Rocco Grimaldi has been recalled from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland Pirates. Forward Dave Bolland has been assigned to Portland on a conditioning assignment.
This season, the 22-year old Grimaldi has recorded one goal in 10 games with Florida and nine points (4-5-9) in 13 games with Portland. Grimaldi has recorded two goals in 17 NHL games, all with the Panthers.
The Anaheim, Cali., native was selected by Florida in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
The 29-year old Bolland has recorded five points (1-4-5) in 25 games this season with Florida. Bolland has played in 433 NHL games with Florida (2014-15), Toronto (2013-14) and Chicago (2006-13), recording 208 points (85-123-208).
"We need Dave to play more minutes and regain his confidence with the offensive side of his game, so that he can help us in the second half of the season,” said Tallon.
