Florida Panthers Recall Kamil Kreps & Stefan Meyer

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager and Head Coach Jacques Martin announced today that the club has recalled C Kamil Kreps and LW Stefan Meyer from the Rochester Americans (AHL).


Kreps, 22, joins the Panthers for his second stint this season. He was first recalled on Oct. 4 and appeared in two games with the Panthers averaging 8:18 of ice time. For his career, he has played in 16 games with the Cats recording two points (1-1-2) with six PIM. The Czech Republic native, has also played in six games with Rochester this year, scoring one goal with five assists. Kreps was originally drafted by the Panthers with their third choice (38th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Meyer, 22, joins the club for the first time during the regular season, after being one of the last players assigned to Rochester during the Panthers training camp. He has yet to appear in a National Hockey League game.  He also has played in nine games with Rochester this season registering five points (1-4-5) and eight PIM. Meyer was originally drafted by the Panthers with their fifth choice (55th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
