SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that forward Greg McKegg has been recalled from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland Pirates.
The 23-year old McKegg has played in 41 games with Portland this season, recording 21 points (9-12-21). The 6-foot, 191-pound native of St. Thomas, Ontario has played in four career NHL games, all with the Toronto Maple Leafs (2013-15). McKegg was originally selected by the Maple Leafs in the third round (62nd overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.
Additionally, the Panthers announced Aleksander Barkov has been placed on injured reserve.
