Florida Panthers Recall Forward Garrett Wilson from Portland Pirates (AHL)

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that Forward Garrett Wilson has been recalled from the Portland Pirates, the club’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

Wilson, 24, has played in seven games for Portland this season, recording four assists and 16 PIM.

The 6-foot-2, 199-pound winger played in two games for Florida during the 2014-15 season. Wilson recorded a career-high 38 points (23-15-38) in 71 games with the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) last season.

The Elmvale, Ont., native was selected by Florida in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.

Additionally, the Panthers have assigned Forward Logan Shaw to Portland. Shaw made his National Hockey League debut on Friday, Oct. 30 vs. Boston
