Florida Panthers Recall C Jeff Taffe

SUNRISE, FL – Florida Panthers General Manager Randy Sexton announced today that the club has recalled C Jeff Taffe from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Taffe, 28, has played in nine games with Rochester this season scoring four goals with three assists. He was called on an emergency basis for this weekend's games, filling in fore Dominic Moore who had nasal surgery today and miss the Dallas and St. Louis games. ?For his career in the NHL, he has played in 153 contests for Phoenix (2002-06, 2006-07), NY Rangers (2005-06) and Pittsburgh (2007-09) registering 20 goals with 22 assists and 36 PIM.  He posted career highs while playing for Wilkes-Barre (AHL) last season in goals (25), assists (50) and points (75).

Florida travels to Dallas and will take on the Stars on Friday at 8:30 p.m. EST, a game that can be seen on FS Florida and heard on SportsTalk 790 The Ticket.
