SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Jacques Martin announced today that D Keaton Ellerby has been reassigned to the Rochester Americans (AHL).  He was recalled for Florida’s game in Atlanta last night but did not dress for the contest.

Ellerby, 20, has played in 57 games with Rochester this year registering 15 points (0-15-15) and 30 PIM.

The Strathmore, Alberta native played in three games for Florida during training camp, before being assigned to the Americans in September.

Ellerby was drafted by Florida with their first choice (10th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Florida (33-23-8) opens a two-game homestand on Thursday, Mar. 5 when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins. The game can be seen live on FS Florida and heard on SportsTalk 790 The Ticket beginning at 7 p.m.
