SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has agreed to terms with RW Jack Skille on a two-year contract.

“We are pleased to have Jack return for the next several seasons,” said Tallon. “He is a high energy and hard working player who made the most out of his opportunity with our team, despite missing 12 games due to injury. We look forward to Jack’s continued contributions to our organization both on and off the ice.”
Skille, 24, played in 13 games with Florida after being acquired on Feb. 9, 2011 in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks. He recorded eight goals and 11 assists in 62 games played with both Chicago and Florida last season. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound, right wing completed the season placing first on the Panthers with 135 hits. For his career in the National Hockey League, Skille has played in 92 games with Chicago (2007-2011) and Florida (2011) registering 27 points (13-14-27) and 34 PIM.
The Madison, Wisconsin native played for Team USA at the 2011 World Championship in Slovakia, appearing in seven games, scoring one goal with two PIM. Skille was drafted by Chicago with their first choice (seventh overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
The club also announced that they have agreed to terms with D Roman Derlyuk on a one-year entry level contract.
Derlyuk, 24, was selected by Florida in the sixth-round (164th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-3, 198-pound defenseman registered 14 points in 44 games for the Moscow Dynamo of the KHL, helping them gain the number two seed in the playoffs.
