SUNRISE, Fla. - The Florida Panthers announced today that the Florida Panthers IceDen will host the seventh annual Hockeyfest on Saturday, May 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Hockey players and fans are encouraged to come out and demo new hockey equipment through an interactive experience. The event is free and open to the public.

Hockeyfest will feature exclusive demo opportunities from top equipment manufacturers including Bauer, CCM, Warrior, Sherwood and True. The outside component will have activities including: street hockey, vendors, music, inflatables, food trucks, and a video game truck. Public skating will also be available from 1-3 p.m. for $10 admission and $4 skate rental.

The Florida Panthers IceDen will host the grand opening of the Panthers Center of Excellence, which is located on the second floor. The center will have a table with program brochures, class schedules and pricing information. Anyone who signs up as a new member will have their activation fee waived during the Hockeyfest hours.

Stanley C. Panther, the Florida Panthers ROAR Corps as well as select special guests and broadcasters will be in attendance for autograph and photo opportunities throughout the day.

Located in Coral Springs the Florida Panthers IceDen is the official practice facility of the Florida Panthers. The 125,000-square-foot venue includes three sheets of ice. Open 364 days a year, the venue welcomes more than one million guests annually.
