SUNRISE, Fla. - Yesterday, the Florida Panthers hosted an employee appreciation day at Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables, part of Baptist Health South Florida. Meals prepared at BB&T Center were provided to 1,200 healthcare workers at the hospital.
"We wanted to do something kind for the hardworking employees at Baptist Health South Florida," said Florida Panthers Senior Vice President Shawn Thornton. "Throughout 2020, these frontline workers have been serving our community in their roles during our community's hardships. We want to thank them in any way we can and remind them that their efforts have not gone unnoticed."
Stanley C. Panther was in attendance to spread joy. Socially distant hockey activities, merchandise giveaways and more were available for healthcare workers on site to take a break and enjoy. Florida Panthers and BB&T Center staff members also wrote digital thank you letters to workers to show them appreciation for all that they do in the South Florida Community.
