Foundation Partners with FSN Florida and National City to Promote Breast Cancer Awareness

SUNRISE, FL – The Florida Panthers Foundation today announced the “Saving Lives One Puck at a Time” campaign to benefit breast cancer research. The campaign, created in conjunction with FSN Florida and National City, will run throughout the month of October and will allow fans to pledge any dollar amount – from one-cent on up – per save made by a Panthers goaltender during the month.

After the conclusion of the Panthers game against the Carolina Hurricanes on October 31, the total number of saves made during the month will be announced. At that point, each fan who signs up to participate in this program will be notified of their total donation. Fans will also receive a special gift at the conclusion of the month based on their total contribution. Fans can register their pledge on the Florida Panthers website as well as at Florida Panthers home games during the month of October.

“We are proud to announce our ‘Saving Lives One Puck at a Time’ campaign in conjunction with FSN Florida and National City,” said Executive Director Alaina Miller. “We are excited to offer fans this unique opportunity to tie their donation into the success of the Florida Panthers goaltenders. The Florida Panthers Foundation, FSN Florida and National City are confident that we can make a significant impact through this campaign and we urge our fans to register their pledges for this worthy cause.”

South Florida will soon see a multi-faceted media campaign to introduce the program to the South Florida community, including:

Television commercials on FSN Florida and Sun Sports
Billboards throughout the South Florida area
Radio advertisements on 790 the Ticket
In-arena activation
