Set To Take Place Sunday, During Panthers Final Home Game
SUNRISE, FL – The Florida Panthers Foundation announced today that it will hold its annual “Shirts Off Our Backs” auction on Sunday, April 1 as the Panthers take on the Carolina Hurricanes in their final regular season home game of the 2006-2007 season. Fans will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction to bid on game worn jerseys from their favorite Panthers players during the first two periods of play.
The auction winners will then be escorted on to the ice after the conclusion of the game where each player will take the jersey off his back, autograph it and present it to the winning fan. Photos will be taken of each fan with their player and sent to the winners.
Additionally, the Foundation will offer fans the opportunity to purchase a “Lucky Easter Egg.” All eggs will be filled with candy and one lucky egg will contain the grand prize, a chance to win a game worn jersey and participate in the night’s ceremony. Other prizes will include concert tickets and autographed merchandise.
“We are excited to offer our loyal fans the opportunity to bid on the game worn jerseys of their favorite Panthers players,” said Executive Director Alaina Miller. “The ‘Shirts Off Our Backs’ auction is one of best traditions we have here at the Foundation. In addition, it’s the perfect way to reward our fans who have made the BankAtlantic Center a winning atmosphere all season long.”
All proceeds will benefit the Florida Panthers Foundation.
