SUNRISE, Fla. - The Florida Panthers announced they have extended their in-game Heroes Among Us Program for a fifth season. The program began in 2013 and has been an integral initiative for the Panthers organization the past four seasons.

The Panthers honor one Community Coffee Military Hero at each of the 41 home games at the BB&T Center.
The Community Coffee Military Hero allows the Panthers to honor someone who has served or currently serves in any branch of the military. The Military Hero is recognized twice within a game - once on-ice during the national anthem and once during a timeout during the second period through a pre-recorded interview/video on the scoreboard.
"We're proud to honor military heroes during Panthers home games and it's so gratifying to see how our fans and the South Florida community has embraced the program," said President and CEO Matthew Caldwell. "Giving military heroes an enriching experience and the recognition they deserve is at the core of our organization's values and is central to our efforts to expand the Panthers family."
The Military Hero receives four complimentary tickets to the game as well as a Panthers jersey.
