SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers announced today that their game on Saturday, Nov. 8, against the Calgary Flames (3 p.m. local start) will be broadcast internationally in eight European countries and carried on NHL Game Center Live in an additional four European countries.
“We are very pleased and excited that our game on Saturday will be seen internationally by viewers in a number of European countries,” said Florida Panthers President & CEO Rory A. Babich. “South Florida attracts sports fans from around the world, and we have found our international fan base growing as they attend Panthers games at BB&T Center. Through this broadcast, our European fans will have an opportunity to see their favorite Panthers players.”
Saturday’s matinee game will be aired in the Czech Republic (Nova Sport), Denmark (Viaplay-Viasat's digital platform only), Finland (Viasat Hockey), Ireland (Setanta Sports 1), Norway (Viasat Hockey), Slovakia (Nova Sport), Sweden (Viasat Hockey) and the United Kingdom (Premier Sports). Saturday’s broadcast will also be available on NHL Game Center Live in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
Five players on Florida’s roster will be seen in their respective home countries during the broadcast including, Aleksander Barkov (Finland), Sean Bergenheim (Finland), Tomas Fleischmann (Czech Republic), Jussi Jokinen (Finland), and Tomas Kopecky (Slovakia).
