The Florida Panthers announced today that their game on Saturday, Feb. 28, against the Buffalo Sabres (3 p.m. local start) will be broadcast internationally.
In addition to being available on the GameCenter Live app in most countries outside of North America, Viasat (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden), Premiere (United Kingdom) and Setanta (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan) will air the Fox Sports Florida telecast.
“With a growing international fan base, we are pleased to announce that the Panthers’ match-up will be broadcast in a number of our international fans' home countries,” said CEO and President Rory Babich. “The broadcast will feature special content that will recognize the international nature of our team and the sport.”
Florida’s Nov. 8 game vs. Calgary earlier this season was also broadcast locally in 12 countries.
The Panthers currently sit three points behind the Boston Bruins for the the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff spot.
