by Staff /

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers President & CEO Matthew Caldwell announced today that Tom Embrey has been promoted to Vice President, Event Operations and Security and that Scott Levine has been promoted to Vice President, Finance/Controller.

Embrey, 39, has been with the Panthers and BB&T Center for 10 years most recently serving as the organization's Director of Event Operations and Security. He will assist in the execution of the organization's capital expenditure projects and will continue to oversee all of BB&T Center's event logistics and security operations, staff and protocol. In his tenure with the Panthers and BB&T Center, Embrey has served as the arena's Director of Event Services and Event Manager.

"Tom's dedication to the Florida Panthers and BB&T Center over the last decade has been second to none," said Caldwell. "His promotion to Vice President, Event Operations and Security is well deserved as he worked tirelessly to develop a secure and efficient infrastructure for our arena events, while forming strong relationships with his staff and our local first responders."

Prior to joining the Panthers Embrey, a native of Johnstown, Pa, served as Event Coordinator at Xavier University Cintas Center after working in the Athletic Ticket Office at Indiana University and in game day and team operations for the Memphis Redbirds (PCL).

Levine, 46, spent the previous two years with the Panthers as the organization's Director of Accounting/Controller. He will continue to oversee the Accounting and Finance functions of both the Panthers and BB&T Center.

"Scott is a valuable member of the organization and has proven himself ready to move to the next level," said Florida Panthers Chief Financial Officer Amy Perry. "He provides us with years of experience and has been a tremendous addition to our finance team since his arrival a little over two years ago."

Prior to joining the Panthers, Levine served as Director of Accounting for the New York Rangers from the 2013-14 season to the 2014-15 season. The native of Jericho, N.Y., has worked in the entertainment industry for the last 16 years, serving as Vice President of Finance for BASE Entertainment, Director of Business Operations for ESPN Outdoors and Director of Finance for ABC Sports.
